Privacy Policy

We at Klingenstein, Fields & Co., L.P.® and KF Group, LP (collectively referred to herein as “KF”) are concerned about the privacy of our clients. Maintaining our clients’ trust and confidence is one of our highest priorities.

We have adopted the Federal Reserve standard privacy notice template, the GBLA Privacy Notice, and are sending this notice to our clients in accordance with government regulations as well as making it available on our website. The privacy policy and privacy notice summarize KF’s policies and practices with respect to the treatment of nonpublic personal information that we acquire about our clients. The provisions of this policy apply to current and former KF clients.

  1. We collect nonpublic personal information about clients from the following sources:
  • Information received from our clients in investment advisory agreements and other documents;
  • Information about our clients’ transactions with us and our affiliates; and
  • Information about our clients that we may receive from our clients’ other advisers who may assist KF in providing our clients with services, such as custodians, lawyers and accountants.

This information may be received in any manner, including in-person discussions, telephone conversations and electronic or other written communications.

  1. We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about KF’s clients to anyone other than KF’s affiliates without our clients’ permission, except as required or permitted by law. The exceptions include third parties that assist KF in providing our clients with services, such as a broker, data service company, or an accounting firm.
  2. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about our clients to those employees and agents who need to know that information in order to provide services to our clients. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable regulations to guard our clients’ nonpublic personal information.
  3. We will continue to adhere to the policies and practices described in this privacy notice with respect to information that we have acquired about our clients, even if we no longer provide services to them.
  4. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), as set forth in our CCPA/CPRA Privacy Notice, which is provided to our clients at the time of data collection as well made available on this website.
  5. We reserve the right to change our privacy policies and practices at any time and will provide our clients with a notice describing any material changes to the revised policies as well as post the updated policies on this website. We encourage our clients to periodically review our website for the most up-to-date privacy policies. KF’s GBLA Privacy Notice will be sent to our clients and is accessible on this website.
  6. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy Disclosure: When clients enroll in SMS-based multi-factor authentication for the KF client portal, we collect their mobile phone number solely for the purpose of delivering one-time security verification codes during the login process. We do not share, sell, or otherwise provide mobile phone numbers or messaging consent information to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Security verification code messages are sent on a recurring basis, limited to one message per login attempt. Message frequency varies based on login activity. Message and data rates may apply. Clients may opt out of SMS verification at any time by replying STOP to any verification message or by selecting an alternative multi-factor authentication method during the login process. For assistance, reply HELP to any verification message.

If clients have any questions about KF’s privacy policies, please call Maria Chambers at (212) 492-6169, or send an e-mail to info@klingenstein.com.
