Celebrating Stephen Wells

Congratulations to our own Stephen Wells for his five decades of service to St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children and the well-deserved recognition of his commitment and accomplishment by the Assembly and Senate of the State of New York, the New York City Council, and the Board of St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children, all of which published Proclamations celebrating outstanding efforts.

During his fifty years of dedicated service, Steve has served as an advisor, counselor and in various leadership capacities including Chairman of the Board and as a member of the Executive, Finance, Investment, Executive Review, Strategic Planning and Governance Committees.

In memory of his daughter Amy, he also established the Amy Wells ‘Unlimited Possibilities Fund’ to support the Arts and Music Therapy programs at St. Mary’s. These are valuable therapies and activities that play an important role in improving the quality of life for seriously ill children.

As Steve stated, “I am blessed to be able to advocate for children and families of St. Mary’s and beyond. It has been my privilege and a special honor to serve the many children of St. Mary’s and to be an advocate on their behalf.”

His passion and generosity serve as a shining example that we admire and strive to follow!
