Klingenstein Fields Advisors (KF Advisors) recently hosted an event at which our clients and business partners heard from a trio of knowledgeable experts on the intersection of art and investing. Marjorie Mayrock, a private art consultant and owner of Mayrock Art, provided views on what to look for when collecting art. Stephanie Diamond, a Managing Director at Schwab Charitable, discussed using art to fulfill philanthropic and legacy goals, and Lawrence Shindell, Chairman of ARIS Title Insurance Corporation, pointed out the importance of understanding and protecting both the provenance and the title of one’s art. KF Advisors’ own Lacey Johnson, Director, Wealth Advisor and Shomari Gilyard, Director, Wealth Planning, rounded out the conversation with perspectives on including multiple generations into the family’s mission and objectives around art and an explanation of how KF Advisors incorporates art as an integral component of the wealth planning process.
Speakers: Marjorie Mayrock, Stephanie Diamond, Lawrence Shindell, Lacey Johnson, Shomari Gilyard
Our thanks to all who were able to attend this informative evening. The collection and disposition of art can be a highly personal and potentially emotional decision, particularly as you balance your art collecting goals and objectives with the desire to leave an enduring legacy.
